Abstract

I report the first Colombian record of the Casqued Oropendola, Clypicterus oseryi, based on a specimen I collected from a large flock of Yellow-rumped Caciques (Cacicus cela) arriving at a communal roost of several species of large icterids in the city of Leticia, Amazonas. I also illustrate some features that distinguish this species from several larger species of Psarocolius oropendolas.
