The Wattled Curassow Crax globulosa is critically endangered in Colombia, where it has been known from a single population. However, historical records and recent information suggested that the species might occur on Mirití Island, in the lower Caquetá River. We walked three quarters of the island area and obtained visual and auditory records of C. globulosa, thus confirming a second population for Colombia, which hopefully will improve prospects for its conservation.
