Abstract

We report the first record of the Masked Mountain-Tanager (Buthraupis wetmorei) for the Department of Quindío, on the basis of two individuals mist-netted at 3350 m in a páramo in the Municipality of Salento. This and a record from the neighboring Department of Tolima represent a northward range extension of some 300 km for this Vulnerable species.
