We describe for first time several aspects of the reproductive biology of the Greyish Piculet (Picumnus granadensis). Nesting activity occurs from February to July. The nest is an ovoid chamber (10-12x6 cm), excavated in trees at heights ranging from 1.5 to 18 m. Both parents participate in all nesting activities, and males and females contribute equally to incubation and attendance of nestlings. Various aspects of the nesting behavior of P. granadensis resemble those previously described for the Olivaceous Piculet (P. olivaceus) and the Mottled Piculet (P. nebulosus).
